History[]
What is now Anse-à-Drick was originally incorporated as the first rural section of the town of Côteaux. The military post of La Roche à Bateau was in this rural section. Anse-à-Drick was also Port-Salut's first section before its current status as the second section of Arniquet.
In January 1803, the independent natives, after their defeat on the Béreault habitation withdrew to the Mallet habitation, near the military post of Roche a Bateau. Férou entrusted the command to Elie Boury.
